The hefty weight of pianos varies from small uprights of 150kg to large grand pianos of over 550kg. Although you’re capable of moving a couple of furniture pieces, we do not recommend attempting to move these heavy and delicate instruments on your own. Keeping a balanced distribution of weight during the process is crucial in ensuring that a shift in mass does not end up being an irreparable disaster.
Relocating heavy pianos without planning or the right equipment can result in physical injury, and your piano may never work again. Here’s where Piano Removalists Perth, Slipstream Carriers, can help take the load off you. Our experienced team specialises in Piano Moving Perth and provides safe transport solutions for all types of pianos.
Whether you’re buying, selling, renting, or even disposing of a piano, our team has you covered. As certified Perth Piano Removalists, we’ve successfully relocated hundreds of these beautiful and delicate instruments to new homes and venues all over Perth.
Our decades of experience as a specialised Piano Mover Perth gives us unparalleled adeptness in ensuring we move these heavy items without damaging your floors, walls and, above all, your piano. We take careful precautions every step of the way to protect your beautiful timber floors from scratches and prevent any walls from chipping during the move.
When it comes to reliable Perth Piano Removals, Slipstream Carriers has built a reputation for professionalism, care, and attention to detail.
At Slipstream Carriers, we specialise in pianos above all other items. With over 60 years of experience as Piano Removalists Perth, we have every imaginable piece of equipment, skill, and experience to move your piano securely over all obstacles.
Before starting, we cover your piano with custom-made piano blankets that fit snugly around your instrument. This first step protects your piano from scratches at every stage of the move.
We have piano dollies that are specially made to carry pianos. This equipment incorporates pneumatic tyres designed to absorb impact and protect your floor and piano from any unavoidable bumps along the ground route.
Moving pianos up and down stairs is a tricky feat. At Slipstream Carriers, we have a set of different-sized ramps and three mechanical stair climbers to help us transport heavy pianos up and down flights of stairs.
We alternatively use our Genie Lift to hoist the piano up or down from balconies, especially when stairs are not feasibly accessible. This specialised equipment helps our Piano Movers Perth handle challenging access situations safely and efficiently.
Our team has extensive experience moving a wide range of pianos, including:

In considering piano moving companies, one should consider factors such as experience, professionalism, customers’ reviews, and terms and conditions. Slipstream Carriers is a company with more than 60 years of experience in the industry and has experts in piano moving who can help you move your piano safely using the correct tools and methods.
Moving a piano is a difficult process because of its size, delicacy, and weight. The carefulness with which this should be done is to prevent any form of injury not only to the piano but also to other things in its vicinity. This is the reason why one should employ professional movers who have the necessary specialist knowledge and tools.
Posted on Google Randel Spence Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Andrew and his offsider did a fantastic job. Moved our piano with care and professionalism. We needed it in a bedroom at back of house and were worried it would not fit through tight hallway corners. Andrew got it done with so much care - not a mark on piano or walls - all at a good price. Communication throughout was on point as well. Highly recommend. Posted on Google Curtis Morren Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great work Andrew and Jack! Andrew & Jack were incredibly professional and caring in moving our upright piano between residences. It’s a special piano, shortly to be played by the fourth generation in our family, and they took the utmost care. We obtained several quotes before selecting them, and can recommend them for value, communication and service quality.
